This year’s 14th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine announced on Monday that the live-action film based on Shūichi Asō’s Saiki Kusuo no Psi Nan (The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.) manga will premiere in Japan on October 21.
The manga inspired an anime series that aired within the Oha-Suta (“Good Morning Star”) program beginning in July.
The anime aired five episodes each week inside that program, and then a light-night broadcast collected those five episodes and aired them together.
Funimation streamed the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan, and also streamed an English broadcast dub for the series.
