22-year-old actor Kento Yamazaki reported with a two-shot photo of him and director Yuichi Fukuda on his official Instagram yesterday that the shooting of the live-action film adaptation of Shuichi Asou’s comedy manga series The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., in which he stars as the protagonist, was officially ended.
Prior to this film, Fukuda also worked on the upcoming live-action film adaptation of Hideaki Sorachi’s action comedy manga Gintama from July to early September, which means the estimated shooting time of this film is about 30 days at the longest.
As with Gintama, the Saiki K. live-action film will be released in Japan sometime in 2017.
