TOHO revealed at a 2019 lineup presentation on Thursday that the live-action film adaptation of Fujita’s Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku (Otaku ni Koi wa Muzukashii) manga will now open in 2020.
The manga inspired an 11-episode television anime adaptation that premiered on April 12.
The manga’s seventh volume will ship on March 29 and a limited edition will bundle an anime on Blu-ray Disc.
Mitsuki Takahata (Napping Princess’ Kokone Morikawa) and Kento Yamazaki (live-action Death Note series’ L) are starring in the film as Narumi and Hirotaka, respectively.
