Magical Girl Raising Project adapted Asari Endō’s Mahō Shōjo Ikusei Keikaku light novel series, which is set in a world where a social game called The Magical Girl Raising Project allows one in tens of thousands of people to be a “magical girl” — possessing extraordinary physical capabilities and looks, as well as special magical powers that set them apart from the rest of the human race.
Magical Girl Raising Project anime director Hiroyuki Hashimoto posted a series of posts on Twitter on Saturday thanking different members of the staff of the project, and encouraging fans to read the original work.
Yen Press has licensed the original novel series and plans to release it starting in summer 2017.
The 12-episode anime premiered in Japan on the AT-X channel on October 1, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired.
