Makoto Shinkai’s Suzume Anime Film Cruises to 23rd on All-Time Japanese Box Office Charts

This has caused the movie to jump up one place to 23rd on the all-time charts in Japan.

As of January 29, Suzume has grossed 13.16 billion yen (US$97.00 million) on the back of 9.9 million tickets sold, nearing that 10 million tickets sold milestone.

It’s just sitting behind Frozen 2’s 13.37 billion yen on the all-time charts and is still behind JUJUTSU KAISEN 0 on the all-time anime charts in Japan at 10th place.
