Manga Author Makoto Ogino Dies

  • Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine announced on its official website on Friday that manga author Makoto Ogino died on April 29 at age 59.

  • He made his manga author debut in 1985 in Young Jump with Kujakuou (Peacock King), and was presented the with the Young Manga Award in the same year.

  • Ogino was born in the Gifu Prefecture in May 1959.
