Although not part of the programming block, MBS, TBS, and BS-TBS also air another anime program at 2:55 a.m. The current anime in that timeslot is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind.
The new half-hour block is titled “Super Animeism,” and will air on MBS and its countrywide affiliated networks late at night on Fridays (effectively Saturdays early morning) at 1:25 a.m. The current one-hour “Animeism” programming block, which airs from 1:55-2:55 a.m., will also continue.
Television channel Mainichi Broadcasting System (MBS) revealed on Friday that it will expand its late-night anime programming block “Animeism” by half an hour starting in July.
MBS and TBS established the one-hour “Anime Saturday 630” programing block for early Saturday mornings in January 2017.
