It’s not often that Nintendo offers a straightforward “development update” video for a game, so you knew something big was going on when one popped up for Metroid Prime 4.
Thus, development is being completely restarted, with original Metroid Prime trilogy developer Retro Studios coming back to take over the project.
According to Nintendo development head Shinya Takahashi, the status of the game has been “very challenged” and has not met Nintendo’s high standards.
