This year’s 27th issue of Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that 28-year-old anime director Tatsuya Yoshihara (Monster Musume, Yatterman Night, Muromi-san, Long Riders!) will direct the television anime adaptation of Yūki Tabata’s Black Clover manga at Studio Pierrot.
Viz Media publishes the manga in North America digitally in its Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, and also in print.
The manga inspired an event anime that screened in Japan in November and December.
The event anime then shipped on DVD with the manga’s 11th volume on May 2.
