My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission went plus ultra last week in becoming the highest-grossing My Hero Academia anime film in theaters in Japan, but this weekend it pulled off another plus ultra feat, being number one at the Japanese box office in its fourth weekend.
In total (as of August 29), World Heroes’ Mission has brought in 2.4 billion yen (US$21.43 million) on the back of 1.81 million tickets sold, making it the highest-grossing My Hero Academia film ever in Japanese theaters.
My Hero Academia THE MOVIE: World Heroes Mission opens in Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa on October 28, and in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland on October 29 in both subbed and dubbed formats.
