Netflix Reveals Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure CG, Live-Action Hybrid Series

  • Netflix revealed Gudetama: An Eggcellent Adventure (Gudetama: Haha wo Tazunete Donkurai), a new live-action and CG hybrid series based on Sanrio’s famous lazy character Gudetama, on Sunday.

  • Sanrio launched a new series of animated shorts titled Gudetama Freestyle on YouTube in January 2021.

  • The first animated short premiered in March 2014, and the shorts continued airing on television until the end of 2020.
