The original print was created in 1857 and was the 58th (or 52nd) print in the 119 print ukiyo-e series.
The newest print, based off Hiroshige’s “Sudden Shower over Shin-Ōhashi bridge and Atake” in the “Hundred Famous Views of Edo” series, has Doraemon, Nobita, and other characters from Fujiko F. Fujio’s Doraemon manga and anime series standing upon the famous bridge which connected downtown Nihonbashi to the Ryogoku districts in Edo (now Tokyo).
Collab Japan – who created the other designs – worked with carver Saeko Baba to create this magical piece.
