Toei Animation announced a new Dragon Ball Super anime movie on Sunday, with Akira Toriyama penning and designing the characters.
The Dragon Ball Super television anime, sequel to Dragon Ball Z, aired in 131 episodes from July 2015 to March 2018.
The first movie of the Super series, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, opened in Japan in December 2018, grossing over 13.5 million yen (approximately US$12.3 million) worldwide.
The movie is scheduled to open in theaters in Japan in 2022.
