The manga, which began in 1959 under the name Hakaba Kitarō, has spawned seven television series (including one Hakaba Kitarō anime), several animated movies, and two live-action films.
Toei Animation began streaming a 15-second commercial for its new television anime based on Shigeru Mizuki’s GeGeGe no Kitarō manga on Sunday.
Many of the cast members, listed below, have appeared in previous anime adaptations of GeGeGe no Kitarō, but none are reprising roles.
The anime will premiere on Fuji TV on April 1 at 9:00 a.m., replacing Dragon Ball Super in the timeslot.
