The manga, which began in 1959 under the name Hakaba Kitarō, has spawned seven television series (including one Hakaba Kitarō anime), several animated movies, and two live-action films.
The official website of the new television anime based on Shigeru Mizuki’s GeGeGe no Kitarō manga revealed new visual for the anime on Friday.
The anime will premiere on Fuji TV on April 1 at 9:00 a.m., replacing Dragon Ball Super in the timeslot.
Kouji Ogawa is serving as series director while Hiroshi Ohnogi (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) is handling series composition.
