The International Animated Film Society, ASIFA-Hollywood, announced the winners for its 45th Annual Annie Awards on Saturday.
The Samurai Jack animated series received nominations for “Best General Audience Animated Television/Broadcast Production,” character design, production design, and editorial, and won all three awards.
Sunao Katabuchi’s In This Corner of the World and Kenji Kamiyama’s Napping Princess both received nominations in the Best Animated Feature-Independent category, but The Breadwinner won the category.
The “The Pearl of Pingaree” episode from Amazon’s Lost In Oz television series received a nomination in the “Best Animated Television/Broadcast Production For Children” category, but lost to We Bare Bears.
