As the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba THE MOVIE Mugen Train anime film continues chugging along and breaking all the box office records in Japan (and other south-east Asian areas), the manga arc that first told the adapted story is also doing well, with the seventh and eighth volumes of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga series breaking the 5 million copies physically sold mark over the last week in Japan.
The first volume of Demon Slayer has sold 5,029,000 copies, while volume 7 has sold 5,009,000 copies with volume 8 selling 5,030,000 copies, both containing the Mugen Train arc in the 23 volume manga series.
This comes a week after the first volume of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba also broke the 5 million copy sold barrier.
