NHK announced on Friday that a live-action television series of Yoshiie Gōda’s Otoko no Misao manga has been green-lit.
Gōda’s Jigyaku no Uta manga inspired the Happily Ever After live-action film in 2007.
In 2009, his Kūki Ningyō manga inspired the Air Doll live-action film by director Hirokazu Kore-eda.
Tsunku is composing the theme song “Otoko no Misao,” with lyrics by Gōda.
