The sequel, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, arrived in Japan as an arcade game in winter 2013 under the title Persona 4 The Ultimax Ultrasuplex Hold.
Persona 4 Arena and Persona 4 Arena Ultimax director Kazuhisa Wada appeared at the Toushinsai 2016 arcade game tournament over the weekend and mentioned that he would like to make a Persona 5 Arena game.
Atlus released the first Persona 4 Arena (Persona 4 Ultimate in Mayonaka Arena) fighting game spinoff in Japan in 2012 on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, and Atlus USA released the game in North America.
“To be honest, we’ve been working hard on Persona 5 and we haven’t really talked about i much yet,” Wada said regarding Persona 5 Arena.
