The Pokémon GO app launched in select countries last week, and has since launched in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, Spain, and Portugal.
The new update presents new dialog boxes that clarify to users what information they are granting access to the app.
The company announced on Saturday that the app is now available in 26 additional countries, but not yet in Japan.
Niantic Labs assured users even before the update, the game did not retrieve anything other than each user’s ID and email address.
