Power Rangers Film Earns US$40.5 Million, Ranks #2 in Opening Weekend

Entertainment news source The Hollywood Reporter revealed on Sunday that Lionsgate’s new Power Rangers film earned US$40.5 million in its opening weekend in the United States, ranking #2 in the box office behind Beauty and the Beast.

The film earned US$18.7 million outside of the United States for a global total of US$59.2 million.

Studios will release the Saban’s Power Rangers: Aftershock graphic novel as a sequel to the film on March 29.
