The movie is one of three adaptations of Itou’s science fiction novels.
A promotional video for Gyakusatsu Kikan (Genocidal Organ), aired on Friday during the broadcast of Koutetsujou no Kabaneri, has revealed that the movie will open in theaters this coming winter.
Gyakusatsu Kikan, an adaptation of the science fiction novel by Keikaku Itou, was originally scheduled to open in theaters in November 2015, but production was stopped in the final stages following the bankruptcy of animation studio Manglobe.
Former Fuji Television producer Kouji Yamamoto then founded Geno Studio to complete the movie’s production with the same staff.
