The organizers of the San Diego Comic-Con convention announced on Friday that this year’s event has been canceled due to the new coronavirus disease (COVID-19) situation and California Governor Gavin Newsom’s statements.
This year’s event was originally scheduled for July 23-26 at the San Diego Convention Center.
The organizers of the Colossalcon convention also announced on Friday that this year’s event is postponed to September 2 to 6.
Another large event scheduled for this summer in California is Anime Expo, which is slated for July 2-5 in Los Angeles.
