Sega announced at the “Sega Fes” event in Tokyo on Saturday that it will release the PlayStation 4 version of its Border Break mecha action arcade game in Japan on August 2.
Sega’s AM2 division launched Border Break in 2009 as a fast-paced multi-player 3D shooter game with mecha.
The game will be a free-to-play game with in-game purchases, but it will also have a physical release and special download edition bonuses.
The game was an early showcase for Sega’s RingEdge arcade hardware architecture.
