The film opened in Japan first on December 23, and sold 644,000 tickets to earn 978 million yen (about US$8,350,000) over its first three days.
The film opened on January 14 in Japan as part of the long-running Super Sentai special effects series.
In addition, the film has sold 3,021,651 tickets in South Korea as of Sunday.
