The film opened in Taiwan on October 21 and earned NT$64 million (about US$2 million) in its first week at #1.
In Hong Kong, the film opened last Friday on November 11, and earned HK$6,149,917 (about US$792,806) in three days.
Makoto Shinkai’s your name. (Kimi no Na wa.) anime film ranked #1 at the box offices in Thailand and Hong Kong this past weekend.
The film has earned 18.5 billion yen and stayed at #1 as of Tuesday, after 82 days in Japanese cinemas, and has sold a total of 14.29 million tickets.
