Manga dominates Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Asia category (established in 2010) – Before that there was a Best U.S. Edition of International Material – Japan from 2007-2009 and before that, manga competed for Best U.S. Edition of International Material, with Masashi Tanaka’s Gon winning the category’s first prize).
This year, the prize went to The Art of Charlie Chan Hock Chye, by Sonny Liew, orignally Singapore, and released in North America by Pantheon.
The Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards, North American comics’ equivalent of the Oscars, awarded this year’s prizes on Friday during San Diego Comic Con.
