After nearly thirty years of sleuthing, Detective Conan (Case Closed) continues to top Japanese TV ratings and the box office year-round, so a short break to watch the cherry blossoms feels well deserved in this “sakura visual” for the new Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween film ā reportedly the first post-premiere visual in the franchise’s history.
An original story based on the manga by Gosho Aoyama, Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween is directed by Susumu Mitsunaka (Haikyu!!) at studio TMS Entertainment, with a screenplay by Takahiro Okura (Detective Conan: The Fist of Blue Sapphire).
The franchise’s 25th feature film premiered in Japan on April 15 and is currently the country’s highest-grossing film of 2022 so far with 3.6 billion yen at the time of writing.
