Studio Ghibli’s 2001 anime film Spirited Away is set to officially premiere in cinemas around China from 21 June, following in the footsteps of My Neighbour Totoro, which premiered there in December last year.
It all started with a unique Totoro promotional poster, which was followed by some glorious poster art in honour of Spirited Away, and now the voice actors behind the new Chinese dub have stepped out into the limelight to recreate some of the most iconic moments from the film.
While Chinese audiences are familiar with the films of Studio Ghibli, it’s been a long 18-year wait for the official release of Spirited Away to arrive in their country.
