The anime’s first season premiered in Japan in April 2014, and the second season premiered in Japan in October 2015, and ended in March.
The manga is a sequel to Yōzaburō Kanari and Fumiya Sato’s original Kindaichi Case Files manga.
This year’s 53rd issue of Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine is revealing on Wednesday that Seimaru Amagi and Fumiya Sato’s Kindaichi Shōnen no Jikenbo R (The File of Young Kindaichi Returns) manga is returning in the magazine’s first 2017 issue on December 12.
The original manga is celebrating its 25th anniversary next year.
