The first season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya anime series premiered in 2006 in a non-linear order, and was rebroadcast in 2009 with new episodes and a new chronological order.

The January 2019 issue of Kadokawa’s Monthly Shōnen Ace magazine revealed on Monday that Puyo’s The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi-chan four-panel gag manga will end in the next issue on December 26.
