UQ Holder Manga Creator Ken Akamatsu Teases TV Anime, Anime DVD in 2017

  • The manga went on hiatus on June 22, before it returned and switched to Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in its November issue on October 8, with the new title UQ Holder!: Magister Negi Magi!

  • Akamatsu launched UQ Holder! in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in Japan in August 2013.

  • Manga creator Ken Akamatsu hinted on Twitter on Thursday that the previously revealed anime adaptation of his UQ Holder! manga will have a television broadcast and original anime DVD (OAD) release in 2017.
