Japanese-American singer Utada Hikaru, known for themes to Rebuild of Evangelion, Kingdom Hearts and her then-husband’s live-action Casshern, has scheduled her first album in the better part of a decade.
Her brief, intermittent returns included Evangelion 3.0 end theme “Sakura Nagashi” and 15th anniversary cover album Utada Hikaru no Uta for which she reunited with Rebuild studio Khara and director Kazuya Tsurumaki for a special “Beautiful World” music video.
Her last Japan album was 2008’s “Heart Station,” which sold millions and spawn 7 singles, and its currently-untitled follow-up is planned for September 28, 2016.
