The official Twitter account for the Violet Evergarden anime announced on Saturday that Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memories Doll (Violet Evergarden Gaiden: Eien to Jidō Shuki Ningyō), a side story to the anime, will continue to open in Japanese theaters as planned on September 6.
While the anime was originally slated to screen for two weeks only, now it will screen for three weeks, from September 6 through September 26.
Kyoto Animation is also working on a film project for Violet Evergarden that was previously announced with a January 10, 2019 opening in Japan.
The anime will also hold its world premiere as planned at the AnimagiC convention in Mannheim, Germany, which runs on August 3 and 4.
