Previously announced games in the project include Phantasy Star, Sonic the Hedgehog, Thunder Force IV (Lightning Force: Quest for the Darkstar), Gain Ground, Alex Kidd in Miracle World, Space Harrier, Out Run, Columns II (Columns II: The Voyage Through Time), Thunder Force AC, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2.
Sega had originally planned to release the first two games, Sonic the Hedgehog and Thunder Force IV, in August, but delayed the releases to September 20 to improve the games’ quality.
Sega announced on Saturday at the Tokyo Game Show 2018 event that the Virtua Racing game is joining the lineup for the Sega Ages project for the Nintendo Switch.
With the project, Sega will release more than 15 of its classic games for the Switch.
