Visual Art’s also reiterated previously announced plans to release the Little Busters! visual novel on Steam, and said it hopes to reveal more information this spring.
The 2007 PC software Little Busters! inspired a television anime that aired in Japan in 2012, followed by the Little Busters! Refrain television anime in 2013 and the Little Busters! EX original video anime project in 2014.
Visual novel developer Visual Art’s posted on its English Facebook page on Thursday that the company is “currently (financially) planning an anime of the Little Busters! spinoff ‘Kud Wafter’.” Visual Art’s CEO Takahiro Baba originally revealed the news on an article on the AkibaBlog website, and stated on that website that Visual Art’s is working to put together a production committee for the project.
Kud Wafter was Key’s eighth adult visual novel and Key originally released the game in Japan in 2010 for Windows PC.
