Viz Media Screens World Premiere of New Ranma 1/2 Anime at Anime NYC on August 24 (Updated)

  • The manga inspired the Ranma 1/2 television anime series in April 1989.

  • The new Ranma 1/2 anime will premiere on October 5 on the NTV channel at 24:55 JST (effectively, October 6 at 12:55 a.m. JST).

  • The staff for this year’s Anime NYC event announced on Wednesday that Viz Media and Hot Topic will screen the world premiere of the new anime of Rumiko Takahashi’s Ranma 1/2 manga at the convention.
