Sega announced at its Sega Fest event in Tokyo on Sunday that its Yakuza (Ryū ga Gotoku) video game franchise is getting a live-action adaptation that will premiere on the Geo Channel video-on-demand service only on November 30.
The live-action adaptation features a completely original story that takes place in the world of the Yakuza 6/Ryū ga Gotoku 6 game.
The title of the adaptation is Ryū ga Gotoku: Tamashii no Uta.
Yakuza game producer Toshihiro Nagoshi is serving as a special supervisor on the project, and Kan Eguchi is directing.
