Yusuke Chiba, Singer-Songwriter of Rock Band The Birthday, Passes Away at 55

  • The official Twitter account of Japanese rock band The Birthday announced on Tuesday that the band’s singer, guitarist, and songwriter Yusuke Chiba has passed away on November 26.

  • Most recently, The Birthday performed the opening theme song of The First Slam Dunk film titled “LOVE ROCKETS.”

  • He then formed The Birthday band with members of his previous two bands in 2006.
