The film, titled Zenaku no Kuzu after Watanabe’s first manga in the series, was slated for release this year, and had finished filming.
The Zenaku no Kuzu (The Scum of Good and Evil) manga ran in Young King from 2014 to 2016.
Japanese entertainment company Nikkatsu announced on Friday that it has cancelled the release of the live-action film adaptation of Daisuke Watanabe’s Gedō no Uta (The Villain’s Song) manga.
The film was slated to star Hirofumi Arai as Takeshi Kamonome (Kamo).
