Aiura's Chama Launches Inning! Baseball Manga

The November issue of Kadokawa's Shounen Ace magazine announced on Monday that Chama (Aiura) will launch the Inning! baseball manga in the next issue. The December issue will ship in Japan on October 26.

The new manga series will focus on a girls' baseball club at a certain high school. The club only has three members and is about to be abolished, but the members somehow stay positive. In this "loose baseball comedy," it seems like the players will not get to play.

Chama launched the Aiura four-panel manga (pictured right) in 2011 and ended it in 2014. The series inspired a television anime in 2013, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired.

The current issue of Shounen Ace also announced that Tsubasa Takahashi will launch a manga adaptation of Sekina Aoi's Gamers! Gamers! Amano Keita to Seishun Continue light novel series in the December issue.

The original romantic comedy novels center on a fairly ordinary high school boy named Keita Amano. His hobby is video games, but apart from that, he has no conspicuous traits. And Keita has never been in love. As Keita continues his gaming life, he suddenly becomes involved with the most beautiful girl at school. Her name is Karen Tendō, and she is the president of the school's video game club. She shocks Keita when she suddenly asks him to join the video game club. Their relationship evolves and complicates as other Gamers! come into the picture and create misunderstandings.

Sekina Aoi launched the novel series with Saboten's illustrations in March 2015. Kadokawa released the fifth compiled book volume in Japan on August 20.

Aoi's Seitokai no Ichizon (Student Council's Discretion) novel series inspired 10mo's manga adaptation in 2009. The novels also inspired a television anime that same year and a second season in 2012. Crunchyroll streamed both series, and Sentai Filmworks released both anime on DVD and Blu-ray Disc last year.
