The film earned 58,903,600 yen (about US$524,482) on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a box office total of 3,190,966,300 yen (about US$28.4 million).
The film sold 52,000 tickets to earn about 75 million yen (about US$667,950).
Eureka Seven: Hi – Evolution, the first film in the planned trilogy, ranked at #8 in its opening weekend.
The film opened on 107 screens in Japan on Saturday, after making its worldwide debut at Otakon on August 12.
