Animator Shouichi Masuo Dies at 57

  • The official website of studio Khara has reported that animator Shouichi Masuo died on Monday due to chronic illness despite having been under medical treatments.

  • Masuo began his career in the anime industry as a key animator for Sengoku Majin Goushougun (Macron 1).

  • He was well acquainted with Hideaki Anno, Katsuhiko Nishijima, and Kouji Itou, and established studio Graviton.
