The film saw its first key visual and teaser trailer unveiled in Japan at the end of last year, and you can see that visual right here alongside our own English subtitled teaser trailer at the bottom of this post.
Needless to say, we’re still some way from the film arriving in cinemas so we don’t have any further specific details to share at this time, but we have plenty of exciting plans in the works to celebrate what we’re anticipating to be another classic film from Mamoru Hosoda, one of anime’s most well-known and recognisable directors.
Most likely you’ll already have seen our continued efforts to bring the best new theatrical anime this year with our announcement of Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms last month, but we’re not stopping there and are still hard at work building an incredible slate of films for 2018 to bring to cinemas around the UK, and today we’re proud to announce another such film – the latest work from a director we’re sure you’ll all recognise. mirai_t_pos_B1_outThus, we can confirm that the fourth quarter of 2018 will see us bring the exciting new film from Mamoru Hosoda (The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Summer Wars, Wolf Children) tentatively titled Mirai – or Mirai From the Future as an alternate working title – to the UK and Ireland.
