The Anime Tourism Association announced the selection of the anime spots for the Japan Anime Tourism 88-Stop Pilgrimage’s 2019 edition at Roppongi Hills in the ongoing 31st Tokyo International Film Festival on October 29.
The organization was established in September 2016 to select and formalize the “Anime Pilgrimage Sites,” the real locations in Japan featured in Japanese anime, based on the online poll by Japanese and foreign anime fans.
This year’s poll for the 2019 edition was conducted between June and August, 75% of its votes were cast from 75 foreign countries, which was 15% up from last year. are excluded from the list due to each title’s situation, according to the association.
