Funimation's Fullmetal Alchemist Rights Expire on July 31

Funimation’s home video and streaming rights for the 2009 Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series and the Fullmetal Alchemist: The Movie – Conqueror of Shamballa film expired on March 31.

FUNimation Entertainment confirmed in an ad on Monday that its home video and streaming rights for the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist series will expire on July 31.

Like the later Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood series, the 2003 series is based on Hiromu Arakawa’s original manga, though the latter has an original ending due to the manga remaining unfinished at the time of the anime’s production.
