Ghost in the Shell original director and writer, Mamoru Oshii, Ghost in the Shell Stand Alone Complex director and writer, Kenji Kamiya, and Ghost in the Shell musical composer, Kenji Kawai, all visited the set in Hong Kong, and posed with the film’s stars, including Scarlett Johansson herself.
Several new set images have also surfaced during the filming, as well as the Japanese trio’s visit to the set.
However, for the Hollywood adaptation of Ghost in the Shell, three of the people who worked on the anime, Mamoru Oshii, Kenji Kamiyama, and Kenji Kawai, actually went to Hong Kong to visit the filming, which stars Scarlett Johansson as “The Major”, or the film’s version of Motoko Kusanagi.
The trio also spoke with director Rupert Sanders about the movie, as well as Scarlett Johansson.
