The official Twitter account for In This Corner (and Other Corners) of the World [Kono Sekai no (Sara ni Ikutsumono) Katasumi ni] — the extended version of the anime film adaptation of Fumiyo Kouno’s In This Corner of the World (Kono Sekai no Katasumi ni) manga — announced on Friday that the extended version will open on December 20.
The new version was originally slated to screen in Japan in December 2018, but was delayed to this year.
The extended version will feature about 30 more minutes of footage.
The new scenes include Suzu crossing paths with Rin in the fall of 1944 and the winter and spring of 1945.
