"Jurassic World" Writer Derek Connolly Tapped For "Pacific Rim" Sequel

Connolly is also currently working on a sequel to Jurassic World and Star Wars: Episode IX.

Variety notes that it is unclearly whether Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Rinko Kikuchi, Charlie Day and Robert Kazinsky will return for the mecha versus kaiju sequel.

Entertainment journal Variety has reported that Derek Connolly (Jurassic World, Kong: Skull Island,Safety Not Guaranteed) has been hired to write the latest version of a script for a Pacific Rim sequel, set to be directed by Steven S. DeKnight (showrunner on the Netflix Daredevil series).
