Shueisha revealed at the Jump Festa ’19 event on Saturday that Ryōsuke Takeuchi and Hikaru Miyoshi’s Yūkoku no Moriarty (Moriarty the Patriot) manga is inspiring a stage musical adaptation.
The musical will run in Tokyo at the Galaxy Theatre on May 10-19, and in Osaka at the Kashiwara City Cultural-Riviere Hall on May 25-26.
In the manga, he is an orphan who assumes the name William James Moriarty when he and his younger brother are adopted into the Moriarty family.
The story’s protagonist is James Moriarty, the famous antagonist from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s Sherlock Holmes series.
